Sydney Harbour really is amazing for boasting some great picnic spots! The Royal Botanical Gardens is a must-see in Sydney. Find a shady spot and sit back and watch near Mrs Macquaries Chair – the harbour is always buzzing and when you have had enough of lazing around take a walk through the gardens. Some of the most s tunning Australian natives and globally introduced plants will delight you. Other amazing picnic spots for best harbour viewing are North Head – great walks, picnic spots and bird life, Wendy’s Secret Garden in Lavender Bay, a beautiful retreat hidden away but definitely a lovely secluded place for a quite sandwich and harbour viewing and Chowder Bay in Middle Head offers beautiful views, swimming, beach and historic heritage – another place for a great day out. Check out the national parks for more information.

The new addition to Sydney Harbour is Barangaroo Reserve, this space provides grassed areas, walking and cycle paths and recreational areas – it is now open to the public and definitely worth a visit.
