RYA Cruising Courses
Sailcorp offer learn to sail courses that cover introductory right through to the globally recognised Yachtmaster courses. Start with some basic skills training and progress to being capable of being in charge of a yacht that could be cruising some of the best locations in the world.
Beginner
- 7 Courses
Our beginner courses teach the fundamental skills you need to sail a boat. How sails work, how to use the controls on a sail boat, and how to be part of a crew so that you can take part in sailing and not just be a passenger.
Intermediate
- 4 Courses
Our intermediate courses are where you start to learn to be in control of a sail boat. With a focus on recreational boating you will gain the knowledge required to be able to take a boat out on your own for a day or a week and be completely self sufficient. If you have ever wanted to charter a yacht then these courses are designed for you.

Safety & Sea Survival
The Australian Sailing Safety and Sea Survival Course prepares sailors with vital skills for emergencies at sea. Participants learn survival techniques, emergency response, distress signaling, liferaft procedures, safety equipment usage, and crew management in crisis situations. ICC

to get a rubber stamp then leave again. we want our students to leave with some new skills, more experience, and lasting knowledge.

The experience of our trainers is second to none. Our racing instructors have done countless Sydney to Hobarts and raced competitvely around the world. Our Cruising instrctors are all RYA certified instructors with commercial endorsements and thousands upon thousands of miles under their belts.

Most of our courses are run out of Lavender Bay on Sydney Harbour. Just down the hill from North Sydney. We are accesible by train, bus, ferry, and car. There is parking nearby, accommodation, shopping centres, and everything else you may need. We are 8 minutes from the CBD and always happy to welcome everyone.
